I am deeply hurt by your traumatic experiences of the past weekend, especially after you gave me courage by pursuing your right to withdraw from the Rome Statute/International Criminal Court.
As an African I am filled with joy when I see a brother or a sister standing up for their right to be respected.
Though you are shell shocked and in a period of mourning, please do not let these faceless cowards hinder you in your resolve to cut off the colonial strings.
As you engage with the loss of life and subsequent grief, do not forget the exploits of the Mau Mau and the Maasai, they too suffered for their resolve.
Kenya is the land of the brave!
